Questions and Answers
What is the best thing about being a teacher at Northwestern?
The caliber of student we encounter.
How does your research influence your teaching?
In graduate courses, the two are the same. I could not teach them if I were not carrying out research in those areas. For undergraduate courses, active research means that we are creating material that we are covering in the courses.
On average, what size are the classes you teach?
They vary from less than 10 to over 100.
What's your favorite thing about Chicago?
O'Hare Airport.
