Bienen Faculty Profile: Carlos Abril

"Whether it's using iPods, composing music on laptops, or playing video games like Guitar Hero, technology has significantly changed the way people engage with and come to understand music. That seems to indicate it may be time to rethink the models we are using to involve students with music. At Northwestern I am fortunate to pursue this work with students who are bright, motivated, engaging, and thoughtful about the work that they do and the impact they want to have on the world around them."
