The Bienen School of Music occupies six buildings, including 97 practice rooms and five computer/ electronic-based studios, classrooms, and laboratories. Performances can take place in any of the dozen performance venues on campus. More than 142,000 books, musical scores, journals, and microfilms can be found in the Deering Music Library, along with one of the best 20th-century music collections in the the country.

The Music Library Listening Center and Computer Lab opened in 2004. In addition to providing over 53,000 CDs, LPs, and tapes for student use, the facility allows students to create music from scratch using notation programs, sequencers, multimedia software, and musical optical character recognition software. It is equipped with advanced music keyboards, headphones, and the latest software available for beginning and intermediate music applications.
