Combined degrees

Five-year BA/BMus in liberal arts and music
All participants in this program must meet the admissions standards of both the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and the Bienen School of Music. To be considered for the program, students must file a formal application before the end of their sophomore year. Students who earn both degrees must complete all course requirements for both the BA and the BMus.
Five-year BS/BMus in engineering and music
This is a five-year program in which students can earn a bachelor of science in their chosen field of engineering from the McCormick School and one of two degrees from the Bienen School of Music: the bachelor of arts in music or the bachelor of music. Admission to this double-degree program requires concurrent approval of the Bienen School of Music and the McCormick School.
Five-year journalism and music degree program
The curriculum for this combined degree option is being revised. Application to this program is not available for fall 2008 applicants.
In this five-year program, offered jointly by the Medill School of Journalism and the Bienen School of Music, students earn a bachelor's degree in music and a master's degree in journalism. A separate application is required.
