Information sessions and campus tours

The best way to get a feel for Northwestern University is to experience it yourself. Discover what makes us unique in an information session. Tour our beautiful tree-lined campus located just a few miles north of Chicago on the shore of Lake Michigan.

Our 45-minute information session provides an overview of the university and its six undergraduate schools, student life, the application process and financial aid, with time for questions and answers at the end. Campus tours depart from our building following the information sessions and last approximately 90 minutes.

Reservations are required for campus visits - please register below.

Our calendar system displays the days preceding and/or following the first and last day of the month for which you are attempting to schedule your visit. The first few days displayed will likely belong to the previous month unless the 1st starts on a Sunday; as such, please scroll down to see the month in its entirety before registering for your intended visit date.

To register:

  1. Click on the checkbox next to the event you would like to attend.
  2. Click on the "Other Event Actions" dropdown menu at the upper right of the calendar.
  3. Select the "Sign Up For Event" option on the menu.
  4. Fill out and submit the request form.

Please keep in mind that the Office of Undergraduate Admission is closed on all major national holidays and on selected days (indicated on the calendar). Please note that tours of residence halls are unavailable while school is in session; however, if you are interested in seeing the interiors of student living areas, there are 360º panoramic housing shots available at http://www.ugadm.northwestern.edu/pan/housing-tour.htm.

Groups of ten or more people should sign up for a large group visit online (we are unable to accommodate special group visits on Saturdays).

We look forward to seeing you on campus! Please check in at the Office of Undergraduate Admission, 1801 Hinman Avenue, when you arrive.
