Extracurricular activities

Communication internships range from working for non-profit organizations to theatre companies to various media outlets. From one to four course credits are available, depending on departmental approval.

The Undergraduate Leadership Program helps students understand the nature of leadership and prepares them for leadership roles in campus, community, and professional settings. Selected freshmen and sophomores take two courses in the history and strategy of leadership. The program also involves small-group activities, off-campus retreats, and seminar discussions with community, corporate, and governmental leaders.
