All of the majors of the School of Communication also offer courses for freshmen where there is a blend of theory and practice. In such courses as Theatre in Context, Argumentation and Debate, Media Construction and the Analysis and Performance of Literature, students learn through participation. In addition to experiential learning in the classroom, there are many co-curricular learning opportunities available to freshmen. Freshmen participate in such activities as debate, forensics, university theatre, dance ensemble, radio broadcasting and film and video production.
