Faculty

The School of Communication has 95 full-time faculty, including scientists, artists, and scholars. Faculty specialties include: science and research in human communication and its disorders; human communication processes, artistic and analytical approaches to performances texts, events and processes; theory and practice of theatre and dance; and theory and practice in media arts.

The School of Communication also hosts a number of guest speakers and teachers. Speakers have included Tony Award-winning actor Brian Bedford, Tony Award-winning actress Heather Headley, playwright Maria Irene Fornes, former writer/producer of The Simpsons Jon Collier, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, film director Harold Ramis, and Broadway performer Brian d'Arcy James.
